In 1844 the Trade Statistics Office (from 1912 Trade Statistics Office) was established in the main customs office as an administrative branch. In 1863, the deputation was merged with the stamp duty for the deputation of indirect taxes and duties, which in 1874 received three departments responsible for stamp paper, declaration of goods and consumption duty. When the deputation was abolished in 1920, the Trade Statistics and Freeport Office was formed.
