The archive of the card collection of the Ministry of Navy still contains only a few atlases. Since 1924, most of the atlases have been loaned to the Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. The collection of sea, coast and river maps forms by far the largest part of the archive. The map collection is smaller in size and contains maps of Europe and the other continents. The archive is complemented with a number of maps for a specific purpose, such as military, water and statistical maps.
