The Archive of the University of Bayreuth (AUBT) is the state and corporate public archive of the University of Bayreuth. Its responsibility extends to the documentation of all institutions and organisational units under the umbrella of the university, i.e. the administration and central service providers as well as science and research. In its holdings, the actions and activities of the university and all its organs, institutes, faculties and institutions as well as its predecessor institutions are comprehensibly documented by archival records. The organisational members of the university and its staff support the development of the archive holdings by separating completed documents and offering them to the archive for transfer. The archives are made available to researchers and interested members of the public. The University Archive also documents the regional and supra-regional activities and influences of the University through appropriate collections.
