No personal or business data such as names, e-mail addresses, postal addresses, etc. is collected on this website. For the collection of IP addresses see below in this text.

The Access to Memory AtoM (www.accesstomemory.org) software integrated in this website generates cookies that are necessary for the correct display of content. They are not used within the framework of the project to evaluate individual surfing behaviour.

Evaluation of the use of our web offer

Web protocols of the central WWW server
The Potsdam University of Applied Sciences automatically collects and stores information transmitted by your browser in the log files of the web server.

These are:
Browser type and version
Computer name or IP address of the accessing computer
Time of the request to the server
requested website

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to your computer. For this purpose, the IP address of your computer must remain stored for the duration of the session. In addition, the data is used to ensure the security of our information technology systems and to optimise our website.
The IP address of the mentioned data is considered to be personal. Your IP address will only be stored for a short period of time and then completely anonymized (deleted or alienated). Thereafter, the data mentioned are no longer personal. They shall be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, as there is a legitimate interest of the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences to detect and eliminate faults and to optimise the pages.

The Potsdam University of Applied Sciences does not use so-called social plug-ins for all websites maintained by the University Marketing Department and thus follows a recommendation of the State Commissioner for Data Protection and the right of the State of Brandenburg to inspect files.

Your rights
According to the Basic Data Protection Ordinance, you also have the following rights: If your personal data are processed, you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about your person (Art. 15 DSGVO). Should incorrect personal data be processed, you have the right to correction (Art. 16 DSGVO).
If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of the processing and lodge an objection against the processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 DSGVO). If you have consented to data processing or if there is a data processing agreement and data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may be entitled to data transferability (Art. 20 DSGVO). If you make use of the rights mentioned above, the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences will check whether the legal requirements are fulfilled.
