The museum possesses a quite extensive collection of photographs, partly summarized as convolutes or photo albums. These are usually private photographs or photo collections. They have also only been partially recorded and digitised to date.
The documents in the holdings of the Historical Archive were created by the City of Sankt Augustin and its legal predecessors and finally evaluated in the archives.
These are documents which are kept by the City Archives, regardless of their origin, as a separate collection (usually of a certain source genre) in order to enable effective recording and safeguarding.
